We do not know where life takes us, but we journey together so let us help each other, and have an open heart to whatever we are called to. It's not easy, but it does have meaning.
This is a personal story of what led me to start my brand and company, powbab®. As I journey through life, I am learning that many times, you just never know.
My name is Tina, Founder of powbab. I was born and raised in the Midwest. Life can be unexpected, and in 2012, I launched a superfood company called powbab, coming out of a personal injury. I had a freak accident, was in a wheelchair and crutches for a while and it was three years of therapy and 1.5 years of recovery. I also had 9 months of getting over side effects from all the pharmaceutical medicine and shots the doctors gave me, wreaking havoc with my body that led to memory loss, hot cold sweats, fatigue and headaches. Quite frankly, I think it was doctor malpractice, but that is another story. During that time, my family and I were not sure if I was going to recover, leaving me depressed and hopeless at times. Willing to try anything, I changed my diet entirely during that time, and was learning to eat to heal. It was in that time a friend told me about baobab, I was amazed at the nutritional benefits, and thought why is no one really selling this in the US?? And that's how I got started.
powbab is a pioneer of baobab products in the US, and the company reflects my personal philosophy on healthy eating. Our baobab is the first on the market to have all three major certifications: USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified and Socially Responsible and Fair Trade. This was a personal decision and goal for our company.
We have so much to share on food, health, and healthy living. We have expanded our superfood product offering beyond baobab, and provide premium quality superfoods that will help your body recover and stay healthy. If you are interested in learning more about healthy living or want to gain knowledge on how to stay healthy, I would suggest checking out our powbab® Blog where we cover a variety of topics related to health and well being. It's never too late, start now!
Also, I thank God because it is a miracle that I have mostly recovered and can walk and stand. Truly, it is a miracle! And, if you are in a place of recovery or injury, I share the message of hope with you. It is possible to recover if you learn how to feed your body the right foods and water you need. Eating foods that are high in antioxidants, anti inflammatory, and understanding how to eat for your condition is vital. I cannot emphasize it enough.
